About the position

The Foundation Operations Coordinator at Children's Health plays a vital role in supporting the development and execution of strategies for various programs within the Foundation. This position is essential for enhancing talent management and researching innovative learning and development opportunities for employees. The coordinator will provide operational support to the Foundation, ensuring that project facilitation is executed with excellence. This role requires a high level of administrative support to the Senior Manager of Foundation Operations and department leadership, contributing to the overall mission of making life better for children through effective health care and community engagement. In this position, the coordinator will utilize excellent project management skills, thoughtful leadership, and strong communication abilities to develop, plan, and implement specific development projects and program duties. Responsibilities include researching innovative learning strategies to attract and retain high-performance talent, coordinating logistics for training workshops and retreats, and providing learning assistance to stakeholders. The coordinator will also support the Senior Manager in developing staffing and recruitment plans, ensuring compliance with HR standards, and enhancing existing programs such as onboarding and training for Foundation employees. The role requires a strategic thinker who can recommend and assist in launching new initiatives, coordinate coaching and mentoring opportunities, and develop relationships with external vendors. The coordinator will serve as a project coordinator, managing project scope and budget, communicating project status, and analyzing operations processes to improve quality and efficiency. Additionally, the coordinator will provide high-level administrative support, including data analysis, meeting coordination, and project budgeting, while acting as a solutions provider and customer service representative for internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of strategies for various programs including talent management.
  • Research innovative learning and development strategies to attract and retain high-performance talent.
  • Assist with coordination and logistics of in-house training workshops, offsite retreats, and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide learning assistance to stakeholders by identifying new learning approaches to meet business objectives.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and monitor staffing, recruitment, and development plans.
  • Recommend and assist in launching new initiatives and enhancing existing programs.
  • Coordinate coaching and mentoring opportunities for Foundation employees.
  • Develop and manage external vendor relationships, understanding the Vendor and Contract Management process.
  • Serve as project coordinator, adhering to project scope and budget, and communicating project status.
  • Analyze and improve operations processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Provide high-level administrative support including data aggregation, meeting coordination, and document management.
  • Maintain financial accountability for assigned projects and evaluate success for improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience required (5+ years preferred).
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization's development office preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) preferred.
  • High level of competency using the Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
