As a Founding Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Magical, you will be at the forefront of our mission to transform the way people work by automating repetitive tasks. You will collaborate closely with our sales and marketing teams to qualify leads, build relationships with potential clients, and set up meetings for our account executives. Your responsibilities will include proactive lead generation through various channels, such as LinkedIn, email campaigns, and industry events. You will engage in outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling and social media outreach, to qualify leads and secure meetings for the sales team. Building and maintaining relationships with potential clients will be essential, as you will need to understand their needs and effectively position Magical's solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and improve lead conversion rates, while accurately managing CRM records for all leads and prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and research potential clients and key decision makers through various channels, including LinkedIn, email campaigns, and industry events.
  • Drive outbound prospecting activities via cold calling, email, and social media to qualify leads and book meetings for the sales team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients by understanding their needs and positioning Magical's solutions effectively.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and improve lead conversion rates.
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain CRM records for all leads and prospects.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in an SDR role, preferably with experience selling automation solutions, and selling into healthcare and/or IT.
  • A consistent record of hitting and exceeding quota.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Comfortable using Salesforce or similar CRM, email marketing tools, and social media platforms for prospecting and outreach.
  • Resilience, a consistently positive attitude, and a growth mindset are essential for success in this role.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the sales profession.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience as an SDR team lead is preferred.
