About the position

The FP&A Analyst 1 position within the Church Budget Office (CBO) focuses on leading Churchwide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling. This role is essential for evaluating the effectiveness and strategic alignment of various activities and programs within the Church. The analyst will collaborate with departments to assist in planning and budget matters, ensuring high-level performance under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and provide analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Provide reporting on business performance management.
• Train and support department and area personnel and management in strategic and resource planning.
• Report on initiative and program results, including critical analysis and evaluation of ongoing operations.
• Establish key performance indicators and interact with departments to identify solutions to planning and resourcing challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, statistics, or a related field.
• CPA (or CMA) preferred.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting, auditing, business management, or research.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and Church accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
