About the position

The FP&A Analyst position at Phillips 66 is responsible for supporting financial reporting, business transformation, and financial business support for the Bayway Refinery. This role involves creating and maintaining cost reports, performing detailed analysis during month-end close, assisting with forecasts and budgets, and collaborating with refinery leadership to understand processes and maintain forecast drivers. The analyst will also perform margin analysis, variance reporting, and assist with audit requests, all while ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain cost reports from SAP, Power BI, and Analysis for Office.
  • Perform detailed routine analysis during month-end close and report results to management.
  • Assist with creating forecasts, outlooks, and budgets.
  • Understand refinery processes and maintain forecast drivers by working closely with refinery leadership teams.
  • Perform margin analysis and variance reporting for the Business unit and Corporate office.
  • Assist with Business Transformation initiatives driven by the Business unit and Corporate office.
  • Assist with Solomon Reporting.
  • Maintain work procedures and processes on an ongoing basis and ensure compliance with those procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Utilize accounting and reporting systems to identify cost savings opportunities and provide variance analysis.
  • Assist with audit requests and perform ad-hoc analysis requests from Business unit and Corporate office.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently without much supervision and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained on the job.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves
