About the position

GreenPoint Ag is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst I to join their team at the GPAH headquarters in Decatur, AL. This full-time position will initially require in-office work, transitioning to a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on supporting the FP&A team by leveraging data for financial modeling, analysis, and reporting, particularly for the Retail side of the business.

Responsibilities

• Support the FP&A team in leveraging data for modeling, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Collect, compile, and validate data for future analysis.
• Identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities through financial data.
• Provide analytical support on business results and progress towards financial targets.
• Develop an understanding of key business drivers.
• Assist with budgeting processes and project work to optimize long-term financial performance.
• Work with forecasting tools for detailed department-level review of future cost trends.

Requirements

• 4-year Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Agricultural Business.
• Entry level; may have less than 6 months of experience in the private sector.
• Experience or knowledge of the agricultural sector is highly desired.
• Proficient computer skills, especially in Excel and Power BI.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving skills and mathematical proficiency.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience or internship in financial analysis or related fields.
• Knowledge of financial modeling concepts.
