About the position

The FP&A Analyst in Private Wealth Management (PWM) at Baird plays a crucial role in monitoring the financial performance of the PWM business. This position involves providing financial analysis and advice to support strategic decisions, preparing budgets, and analyzing trends to assist in business opportunities. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to gather information and prepare reports that illustrate current and future financial trends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the analysis of business unit performance, financial models, and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain internal historical financial and operational data.
  • Prepare and distribute key client metrics and business management reports.
  • Participate in the monthly close process by communicating variances and key operating metrics to the finance reporting team.
  • Generate system reports and analyze revenue and expenses to prepare financial schedules and key highlight summaries for internal financial review meetings.
  • Prepare executive summary and charts for the executive close packet.
  • Assist with the annual budget update by gathering key assumptions for revenue, personnel, outside vendors, and business initiatives.
  • Create and generate system and ad-hoc reports and prepare variance analysis.
  • Assist in the development of client presentation materials.
  • Participate in key team-wide or department-wide initiatives to improve overall performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance or Accounting preferred).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Ability to produce high quality, timely, and accurate work output.
