About the position

The FP&A Analyst Senior position within the Church Budget Office is responsible for leading Churchwide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness and strategic alignment of various activities and programs, while also providing support to departments in planning and budget matters. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a team, maintain confidentiality, and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team lead for the FP&A group.
• Develops financial models and provides analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Provides reporting on business performance management.
• Trains and supports department and area personnel and management in strategic and resource planning.
• Conducts initiative and program results reporting, including critical analysis and evaluation of ongoing operations.
• Establishes key performance indicators and interacts with departments to identify solutions to planning and resourcing challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, statistics, or a related field.
• CPA (or CMA) or MBA is preferred.
• Ten+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting, auditing, business management, or research.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and Church accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
• Leadership, mentorship, and team development skills.
