About the position

The FP&A Analyst position in Melbourne, FL is a direct-hire opportunity that offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year. This role is crucial for supporting the financial planning and analysis functions within a high-growth organization. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level Excel skills and the ability to build scalable reports and financial models that can adapt to the evolving needs of the business. A deep understanding of financial statements and their interrelationships is essential, as is advanced knowledge of budgeting and forecasting methodologies related to sales, costs, and balance sheet metrics. In this role, the FP&A Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and preparing comprehensive financial reports. The analyst will assist with budgeting processes and monthly close activities, ensuring that all financial activities align with company policies and legal regulations. A significant aspect of the job involves understanding key business drivers and providing financial guidance to project teams, thereby acting as a business partner to the Operations department leadership. The analyst will also be tasked with developing financial projections and building financial models, as well as performing research and analysis as required. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary to support the financial objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Expert level Excel skills, ability to build reports and models that are scalable for a high-growth organization
  • Advanced level understanding of financial statements and how they interact with each other
  • Advanced level knowledge of budgeting/forecasting methodologies for sales, costs, and balance sheet metrics
  • Review and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Track KPIs and prepare financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes
  • Understand key business drivers
  • Assist project teams with financial guidance
  • Develop financial projections and build financial models
  • Perform research and analysis as required
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations
  • Become a true business partner to Operations department leadership, helping them to understand and improve operational performance
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong with corporate FP&A (5-7 years)
  • Experience presenting financials to upper management and stakeholders
  • Tableau and/or PowerBi experience
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions and/or PE-backed companies
