About the position

The FP&A Analyst at PowerSchool Group LLC plays a crucial role in financial planning and analysis, focusing on assessing business performance through quantitative and qualitative data. This position supports revenue-generating areas of the business by providing financial forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, ultimately contributing to the company's strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess business performance.
  • Build reports and forecasts to support recommendations for maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Provide finance support for forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis in specific business areas.
  • Manage primary budget, expense, and resource management, including building quarterly budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare financial plans and forecasts, including monthly and quarterly projections.
  • Conduct management variance analysis for company planning and reporting, including dashboard and board reporting packages.
  • Organize and evaluate quantitative data to identify trends, problems, and root causes.
  • Work cross-functionally to create visibility into financial performance and understand key operational metrics.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Assist with ad-hoc modeling and analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel; experience with Salesforce, Adaptive, NetSuite, PowerBI, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure with attention to accuracy and quality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts.
  • Prior experience directly supporting business partners.
  • Familiarity with SaaS Revenue Recognition concepts and cash flow modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, particularly DOMO.
