About the position

Our client is currently seeking an FP&A Analyst. This role is pivotal in generating past, present, and projected future views of our clients' food manufacturing financial results, along with the insights and recommendations that contribute to profitable growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with end-to-end P&L performance, from Gross Sales to Net Income. The FP&A Analyst will consolidate and build upon information from various business stakeholders to create high-quality and concise summaries that are essential for decision-making. Additionally, this position supports the Finance leadership team on a variety of strategic projects and develops optimized reporting that enhances the financial acumen of the organization. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Builds monthly reporting package of period and YTD results in collaboration with functional finance leads.
  • Assists with current fiscal year forecast.
  • Supports annual budget process in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Human Resources.
  • Prepares Balance Sheet and Cash Flow financial statements.
  • Provides visibility into the performance of the Corporate Business Unit (G&A costs).
  • Maintains the Company’s Strategic Plan model with periodic updates to volume, pricing, inflation, and productivity expectations.
  • Performs ad hoc business analyses under the direction of the Finance leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • 0-3 years relevant experience.
  • CPG/Food & Beverage industry background preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an appreciation for polish and an awareness of the audience.
  • Data management and systems savviness.
  • A strong quantitative sense and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred such as creating macros, VLOOKUP, index match, etc.
