About the position

The FP&A Analyst role at Robert W. Baird involves supporting the financial performance monitoring of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) business. The analyst will provide financial analysis and advice to assist with strategic decisions, prepare budgets, and analyze business unit performance. This position requires collaboration with various teams to evaluate trends and business opportunities, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting for the PWM business unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the analysis of business unit performance, financial models, and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic initiatives.
• Participate in the monthly close process by communicating variances and key operating metrics to the finance reporting team.
• Assist in updating the annual budget by gathering key assumptions for revenue and expenses.
• Participate in key team-wide or department-wide initiatives to improve overall performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance or Accounting preferred).
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player.
• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with a desire for continual learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial modeling and analysis.
