About the position

The FP&A Analyst at Threat Tec, LLC will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions within a dynamic finance and accounting team. This position is essential for providing insights into financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving the company's growth objectives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including long-term financial planning.
  • Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
  • Work with program control analysts to perform cost analysis on projects and contracts, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Assist in revenue forecasting by analyzing contract performance, pipeline opportunities, and market trends.
  • Develop financial models to simulate various business scenarios and assess the potential impact on the company's financial performance.
  • Work closely with project managers, operations, contracts and business development teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data and analysis.
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules and support during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial records, ensuring alignment between FP&A and accounting activities.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and management decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role, preferably within a government contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) and cost accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • An MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
