About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst role at Abbott Point of Care involves providing financial planning and analysis support to the division's FP&A HQ team. The position focuses on building and managing financial reports, preparing analyses for business reviews, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and Abbott's operating policies. The analyst will play a key role in maintaining an effective planning process, supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and collaborating with the Global Marketing organization to create budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for P&L and balance sheet metrics, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GAAP.
  • Maintain an effective planning process for the division, coordinating a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables.
  • Develop tools and templates to support the consolidation and completion of corporate schedules, and implement process improvements.
  • Manage the reporting of monthly financial performance metrics, including sales and expense variances and cash conversion cycle.
  • Provide financial support to the Global Marketing organization, including budget and forecast creation.
  • Complete month-end close activities, including revenue tie-outs, journal entries, and expense summaries.
  • Prepare and analyze daily and weekly sales reporting and projections.
  • Maintain a finance scorecard on deliverables from other finance organizations.
  • Perform adhoc requests and drive cross-business analytic projects for senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of finance experience, including roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and/or finance.
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide data and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Traditional accounting knowledge and ability to streamline functions within the department.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Princeton, NJ.
