The FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and performance management of Summit Facility Solutions. This position is responsible for developing financial models, managing job costing, analyzing key performance indicators, preparing forecasts, and providing actionable insights to support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans, analyzing financial performance and providing variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning and decision-making. The FP&A Analyst will collaborate with department leaders to understand business drivers and financial impacts of operational decisions, prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability. Additionally, the role involves conducting ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives, assisting in the preparation of board presentations, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand business drivers and financial impacts of operational decisions.
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives, such as new projects, investments, and market expansions.
  • Assist in the preparation of board presentations and other executive-level reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the FP&A function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within the facility management or service industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar software).
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software (e.g., Winetam) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to principal owner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive financial data.
