The research organization comprises over 250 researchers from diverse scientific and engineering disciplines, collectively driving significant research programs aimed at decarbonizing power, accelerating renewable energy adoption, and promoting electrification. This role is pivotal in supporting these initiatives through effective financial management and analysis. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial estimates for planning by modeling various scenarios and assisting in the forecasting process, which includes strategic planning, budgeting, and short-range forecasts for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Collaboration with Facilities and site leadership is necessary to plan, manage, and monitor major construction projects. The role also involves performing weekly tasks, creating monthly and quarterly reports for internal billing, and booking necessary journal entries. Additionally, the analyst will support functional analysis, ensuring that issues are resolved and controls are implemented to limit variability in financial reporting. The position requires a strong analytical mindset to review data for reasonableness, considering historical trends and current business activities before releasing information to stakeholders. The analyst will also support the business estimating process, provide budget planning and technical support to project leaders, and respond to client requests for customized data and reports. Furthermore, the role involves evaluating the impact of FP&A process improvements on IT infrastructure and controllership from both functional and systems perspectives.
