About the position

The Senior FP&A/Cost Analyst at Biomerics is responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and commentary to explain company performance, as well as creating forward-looking models to achieve budget targets. This role focuses on analyzing cost drivers, supporting the site controller with insights on cost accounting, inventory control, financial planning, and capital expenditure requests. The position is integral to ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies while driving productivity and profitability through effective financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report sales and gross profit by value stream, customer, and item.
  • Support the Controller on cost accounting, standard costs review, and capex requests.
  • Prepare and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routes, including loading new products into the ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies, overseeing audits and implementing necessary changes.
  • Support the preparation of forecasting and budgeting processes in collaboration with the Site Controller and stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare variance analysis on profitability, working capital, and trends.
  • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure effective cost control and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and GAAP.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Strong standard cost or cost accounting background.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in plastics injection molding.
