About the position

The Senior FP&A/Cost Analyst at Biomerics is responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and commentary to explain company performance, as well as creating forward-looking models to achieve budget targets. This role focuses on analyzing cost drivers, supporting the site controller with insights on cost accounting, inventory control, financial planning, and working capital management, all within the context of the medical device manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report sales and gross profit by value stream, customer, item, and productivity analysis.
  • Support the Controller on cost accounting, standard costs review, capex requests, closing activities, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and/or review BOMs and routes, including loading new products into the ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee audits and implement necessary changes based on findings related to inventory controls and cost accounting.
  • Support the preparation of forecasting and budgeting processes in collaboration with the Site Controller and stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support continuous improvement initiatives driving productivity and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare variance analysis on profitability, working capital, and trends.
  • Support analysis and develop and monitor budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and GAAP.
  • Strong standard cost or cost accounting background.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Financial modeling skills, including leading capex modeling and requests.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in plastics injection molding.
