The Sales Finance Director will provide essential support to the Banking Solutions and Capital Markets segments. This role is pivotal in facilitating communication and collaboration between Sales Leaders, Business Leaders, and Line of Business Finance Teams. The Director will be instrumental in creating consistent, sustainable, and insightful interlock processes that support monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range planning and forecasting activities, with a strong emphasis on sales to revenue conversion across a complex set of products, fee types, and delivery mechanisms. In this role, the Sales Finance Director will develop, lead, manage, and motivate a team of finance professionals. They will monitor staff performance, collaborate with Human Resources on personnel issues, and work with employees to implement goals and document progress. The Director will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data. Acting as a liaison between the company, government, and auditors, the Director will provide required information and ensure proper documentation is maintained for historical purposes. Additionally, the Sales Finance Director will manage the preparation, administration, and control of the budget, reviewing and approving recommendations for financial planning and control. They will provide relevant fiscal information to the executive management team and monitor the division's adherence to approved budgets. The role includes submitting various federal, state, and local reports, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns, and overseeing the investigation of cost structures and pricing for new services or products. The Director will also ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures and manage the preparation of budget versus actual reports, identifying areas for potential improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, leads, manages and motivates staff.

  • Monitors division/department adherence to approved budgets.

  • Controls activities involving management of cash resources.
  • Oversees investigation of cost structures and pricing of new services or products.
  • Ensures costs are allocated according to established procedures.
  • Manages preparation of budget versus actual reports.
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Identifies areas of potential improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years Corporate Finance experience.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Strong organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • General business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence.
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application in a large, diverse organization.
  • Ability to identify, address and resolve employee related issues.
  • Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
