About the position

The FP&A Expense Analyst role at Robert Half involves bridging finance, technology, and forecasting/budgeting. The position focuses on forecasting operational expenses, analyzing variances, and communicating results to stakeholders. This role can be performed remotely and offers a long-term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly operational expense forecasting for various areas and update forecasts in the system.
  • Run reports and analyze research variances to provide strategic insights.
  • Communicate results and findings to stakeholders, management, and leadership effectively.
  • Utilize systems such as Adaptive and Workday for finance and strategic decision-making.
  • Apply solid financial acumen and analytical skills to ensure accurate and efficient processing of data.
  • Utilize Excel proficiently for various financial tasks.
  • Develop forecasts, conduct analysis, benchmark, and draw insights from business performance.
  • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

  • Must have 5 or more years of experience as an FP&A Expense Analyst or similar role
  • Advanced knowledge of Adaptive Insights and Adaptive Planning is helpful
  • Proficiency in Data Mining Techniques and Analysis Techniques is expected
  • Must be proficient in various Accounting Functions and Expense Management
  • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and Workday ERP is helpful
  • Ability to fully understand, manipulate and manage Annual Budget, Budget Processes, and Annual Operating Budget
  • Must have experience in presenting results to key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is essential
  • Must be able to handle Forecasting, Forecasting & Modeling, and Financial Forecasts
  • Experience in Expense Analysis, Expense Projections, Expense Recognition, and Expense Reporting
  • Ability to Analyze Variance is necessary
  • Knowledge of Workday and its various modules is a plus
  • Proficiency in Analysis Tools and Analysis planning is necessary
  • Experience in Corporate Financial Planning and Long-range financial planning
  • Must be able to prepare Annual Forecasts, Budgeting - Forecasting, Cash Flow Forecasts, Cash Forecasting
  • Experience in Forecast Activities and Monthly Forecasts is necessary.
