About the position

The FP&A Financial Analyst at Ionic Digital Inc. is a critical role responsible for providing timely financial analysis and support to the finance team. This position involves working closely with the Controller to manage financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis, while also preparing comprehensive reports and insights on financial performance and trends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Controller on financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate and analyze economic, industry, and peer information for trend and comparison analysis.
• Prepare financial models through benchmarking and process analysis.
• Prepare insights and trends of current financial status.
• Effectively analyze and report variances of actual results to budget and forecast on forecasting metrics.
• Prepare deep-dive analysis of financials and revenue/cost statistics and projections.
• Undertake balance sheet analysis to know the future modeling requirements.
• In conjunction with operations, prepare quarterly and annual costs and revenue forecasts projecting profits, cash flow, and other metrics.
• Prepare comprehensive forecast reports, creating estimates of future performance and trends.
• Leverage and action information/metrics required during financial forecasting.
• Evaluate both the current and future state business processes to identify areas of opportunity for improvement/automation around forecasting workflow.
• Drive continuous improvement in all processes including reporting, planning, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years finance/accounting experience including 3 years FP&A.
• Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP).
• Integrity, honesty, trustworthy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach and work well in a team.
• Advanced analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong oral/written communication and listening skills.
• Ability to deliver on time and under tight deadlines.
