The Balance Sheet Management Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who plays a crucial role in the governance of funding, investing, and analytics of the balance sheet. This position requires staying updated on developments within the finance field and contributing to the directional strategy by applying this knowledge to the job and the business. The analyst is recognized as a technical authority in their area, necessitating a basic commercial awareness. Typically, there are multiple professionals within the business who provide the same level of subject matter expertise, which emphasizes the importance of developed communication and diplomacy skills. These skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and convincing others, particularly colleagues in different areas and occasional external customers. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
