About the position

The FP&A Manager at A.Ray Hospitality is a pivotal role responsible for driving financial strategy and ensuring accurate financial reporting within the restaurant industry. This position involves collaborating with senior leadership and operational teams to provide insightful analysis that supports business goals, ultimately enhancing profitability and cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
  • Conduct regular financial performance reviews, identifying trends and variances against budget and forecasts.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to drive profitability and cost management.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and variance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.
  • Collaborate with operations and accounting teams to enhance reporting processes.
  • Analyze labor and cost data to ensure alignment with operational goals and financial targets.
  • Support inventory management by conducting periodic reviews and ensuring accurate reporting of cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc financial analyses for senior leadership and department heads.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies or issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive decision-making.
  • Participate in budget meetings and provide analytical support for operational and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools, including Excel and Restaurant365.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
