About the position

The FP&A Manager for Retail/Rental at Vail Resorts is responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and management within the Retail and Rental division. This role focuses on supporting the My Epic Gear program and involves creating complex financial models, analyzing operating results, and partnering with senior leaders to align resources with strategic goals. The position is pivotal in shaping the FP&A organization and requires strong analytical skills, business judgment, and the ability to communicate insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support My Epic Gear, a ski gear membership program, by creating complex financial models.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive investment decisions through financial analyses.
• Develop analyses for capital projects and operational excellence.
• Monitor and analyze operating results to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance to develop annual operating and capital budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Economics required.
• 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, or 5+ years with an MBA.
• Experience in executing financial planning functions including annual budget and capital budgeting.
• Demonstrated success in financial modeling and executive communications.
• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and develop insights.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the ski or outdoor recreation industry.
• Familiarity with financial systems and advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
