About the position

The Balance Sheet Management Lead Analyst is a strategic role focused on the Balance Sheet Recovery and Resolution Planning team. This position requires a deep understanding of financial services, particularly in balance sheet forecasting and regulatory submissions. The analyst will provide technical authority and guidance, influencing colleagues and external customers while ensuring compliance with regulations. The role significantly impacts the overall performance of the business through complex deliverables and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support Recovery and Resolution Planning forecasting execution processes.
  • Support development and enhancement of Resolution Planning balance sheet forecasting capability.
  • Develop methodology and projection models for balance sheet and PPNR.
  • Execute on balance sheet for annual 165d regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to Resolution Plan narratives.
  • Contribute to the governance of funding, investing, and analytics of the balance sheet.
  • Participate in managing liquidity and interest rate risk, capital/legal entity structure, and capital planning.
  • Manage rating agency relationships and capital markets activities including commercial paper and securitization.
  • Oversee liquidity, accrual risk, and transfer pricing.
  • Understand data and technology infrastructure supporting the liquidity reporting process.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience working for a financial services organization.
  • Analytical skills and ability to design strategic solutions and processes.
  • Knowledge of Recovery and Resolution Planning regulations.
  • Knowledge of stress testing (e.g. CCAR).
  • Experience with modelling and the model lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of an Investment Bank Balance Sheet composition and P&L.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and double entry accounting.
  • Thorough knowledge of key Interest Rate Risk metrics (IRE, EVS).
  • Working knowledge of Citigroup Financial Systems (PEARL / GENESIS/ Etc.) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard analysis tools (Excel / Access / SQL).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
