About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst in the FP&A role will be instrumental in enhancing the financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions for the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) segment. This position requires collaboration with various teams within the FP&A department and other functional areas, focusing on supporting financial processes and providing insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support the FP&A processes including Annual Operating Plan, monthly forecasts, and monthly Business Unit reporting.
  • Partner with FP&A teammates to provide variance analysis, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
  • Produce monthly reports, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Support monthly and annual forecasts for corporate IPS functions, including variance analyses and communication of insights.
  • Assist with monthly close analysis and preparation of accruals for the IPS functions.
  • Leverage analytical and system knowledge to organize and analyze large amounts of data for business decision making.
  • Gather and analyze information to identify P&L and working capital trends.
  • Support internal control processes to ensure compliance with regulations and accounting policies.
  • Prepare reports for inclusion in the monthly Business Unit Review (BUR) decks and President's Operating Review (POR) reports.
  • Create standard reporting packages and conduct ad-hoc queries in Hyperion/OneStream.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CPA equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
  • FP&A experience at a large, multi-national manufacturing company preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system, Hyperion and/or OneStream is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Curious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedback.
  • Ability to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
