About the position

The Global Business Finance Organization at Oracle plays a crucial role in supporting the company's executives and officers by providing financial and operational analysis that drives business decisions, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the organization. In this position, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for delivering financial support and insights specifically to the North America Application Consulting organization. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the analyst will be an integral member of the finance team, collaborating closely with headquarters, sales, and business operations teams to provide comprehensive FP&A support for the North America Application Consulting Organization. This role is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities that include P&L budgeting and forecasting, scenario modeling, and the creation of executive summaries and presentations. The analyst will own the consolidation of financials for the North America Applications and the Oracle Digital Experience Agency, maintaining the financial hierarchy to support business requirements and enhance reporting effectiveness. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, as the analyst will analyze and interpret P&L statements, including bookings, revenue, and expenses, while leveraging financial and operational metrics to provide actionable insights. In addition to financial reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst will oversee consulting delivery and executive bonus plans, perform monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and review strategic business investments. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying performance measures and key performance indicators, partnering with finance teams to understand forecast variance drivers, and providing strategic insights to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. The analyst will also be responsible for creating financial models to support business decisions, driving profitability, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis for North America Applications (NAA) and Oracle Digital Experience Agency (ODX).
  • Manage P&L budgeting/forecasting, scenario modeling, and project management of finance-related initiatives.
  • Consolidate NAA Consulting financials and maintain the Consulting Financial hierarchy for effective reporting.
  • Partner with business and finance leaders to drive accurate and timely forecasts.
  • Analyze and interpret P&L including bookings, revenue, and expenses/headcount.
  • Oversee Consulting delivery and executive bonus plans.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial and operational reporting for forecasting and strategic business investments.
  • Review quarterly results and forecast submissions, providing commentary and variance explanations.
  • Identify and track performance measures and key performance indicators, partnering with finance teams to understand forecast variance drivers.
  • Create financial models to support business decisions and drive profitability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and quarter-end close processes & reporting.
  • Communicate areas of concern and recommend actions to meet financial commitments.
  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting with actionable insights.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge across all business areas and spearhead collaboration to streamline processes.
  • Leverage analytic technology and key data sources to enhance financial analysis.
  • Lead special projects in automation efforts and implement standard methodologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior financial analysts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with prior FP&A experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics required.
  • Excellent Excel skills with experience in producing flexible, repeatable, succinct reports that are highly automated.
  • Proven success in articulating complex financial documents for informed decision-making.
  • Highly skilled in storytelling and executive-level presentation.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high transparency, high complexity, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple challenging priorities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners and collaborators.
