The FPGA Design Architect Engineer will play a crucial role in leading digital and firmware development for an industry-leading aerospace and defense manufacturer. This position involves working on critical systems and components used in challenging environments, collaborating with a high-caliber team to develop innovative solutions for top-tier OEMs. The role requires a strong background in electrical or computer engineering, with a focus on FPGA design and integration into larger systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead digital and firmware development from architecture and design to production ramp-up.
  • Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL for digital circuit design.
  • Experience with FPGA development tools like Xilinx, Altera, Vivado, or Intel Quartus.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA designs into larger systems.
  • Knowledge of DSP, embedded systems, and familiarity with new standards like SOSA.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in complex circuit board design processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and development.
  • Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL for digital circuit design.
  • Experience with FPGA development tools like Xilinx, Altera, Vivado, or Intel Quartus.
  • Knowledge of DSP and embedded systems.
