About the position

The FPGA Prototyping Application Engineer at Synopsys is responsible for providing expert pre-sale and post-sale support for HAPS Based Prototyping solutions. This role involves assisting customers in prototyping complex ASIC designs, conducting technical evaluations, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. The engineer will work closely with customers to ensure successful implementation and validation of their designs, contributing to the overall success of Synopsys's products in various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Providing pre-sale and post-sale support for Synopsys's HAPS Based Prototyping.
  • Assisting customers in successfully prototyping their multi-million gate ASIC designs.
  • Conducting highly technical evaluations of Synopsys's HAPS Based Prototyping and Implementation Products.
  • Supporting product evaluations and post-sale support as part of the HAPS Application Engineering team.
  • Traveling to customer sites for pre-sales activities, product deployments, or support issues as required.
  • Publishing solvent articles and developing application notes based on customer experiences.
  • Developing training materials for customers and contributing to improving the Quality of Results in the tools.

Requirements

  • BS with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience or MS with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA-based prototyping/emulation of complex SoCs.
  • Strong understanding of ASIC to FPGA RTL preparation issues.
  • Experience with design, verification, post-silicon bring-up, and validation.
  • Knowledge of Digital Design, VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, Synthesis, Simulation, and FPGA architectures such as Xilinx Ultrascale+ devices.
  • Proficiency in FPGA-based design debug and handling complex timing constraints.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as TCL/Python.
  • Knowledge of ARM buses, display controllers/interfaces, and industry standards (MIPI, HDMI, USB, PCIe, SATA) is a plus.
