About the position
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Fractional CFO in Portland, Oregon. The selected candidate will be tasked with managing accounting functions for a non-profit and two for-profit subsidiaries. This role will require a strong understanding of accounting software systems, auditing, budget processes, and cash flow analysis. The Fractional CFO will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organizations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic insights to guide business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, particularly in a CFO or similar role, and will be adept at leading teams and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting functions across multiple entities.
- Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
- Develop and manage budget processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee capital management to optimize financial resources.
- Conduct cash flow analysis to forecast financial trends and inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Budget Processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Excellent strategic planning skills in business development and management
- Proven experience as a CFO or relevant role within financial management
- Strong leadership qualities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; a Master's is a plus
- Relevant certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
