About the position

As an Assistant Boutique Manager at CHANEL, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the client experience within the Fragrance & Beauty Boutique. This position involves leadership, operational excellence, and coaching, all while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. You will work closely with the Boutique Director to manage the team and ensure the boutique operates smoothly, providing exceptional service to clients and maintaining high standards of brand representation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Boutique Director in developing and leading the team.
  • Oversee the boutique in the Director's absence, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Lead the sales team on the floor, providing superior service to clients.
  • Foster a positive working environment that encourages diversity and collaboration.
  • Coach and support the team in product knowledge and service skills.
  • Manage time effectively, spending 60% on the sales floor and 40% on back-of-house operations.
  • Handle all operations of the sales floor, including stock management and visual merchandising.
  • Communicate inventory and supply needs to the Boutique Director.
  • Establish and maintain an organized stock storage system.
  • Uphold all Standard Operating Procedures and educate the team as needed.
  • Assist in event planning and execution alongside the Boutique Director.
  • Create a unique and memorable client experience in-store and after sales.
  • Build relationships with clients and personalize their experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School diploma required.
  • 3+ years of related leadership sales experience in a retail luxury environment and/or operational role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and operationally savvy.
  • Ability to coach and lead a team effectively.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Foreign language skills are preferred but not required.
  • Passion for the House of CHANEL and its commitment to social initiatives.
