About the position

The Fragrance & Beauty Assistant Boutique Manager at CHANEL plays a pivotal role in enhancing the client experience within the boutique. This position involves leadership, operational management, and coaching to ensure exceptional service and a positive team environment. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Boutique Director to oversee daily operations, support team development, and drive business results while fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Boutique Director in developing and leading the team.
  • Oversee the boutique in the Director's absence and ensure superior service on the sales floor.
  • Foster a positive working environment that encourages diversity and collaboration.
  • Coach and support the team in product knowledge and service skills.
  • Manage time and delegate effectively, spending 60% on the sales floor and 40% on back-of-house operations.
  • Handle all operations of the sales floor, including stock management and visual merchandising.
  • Communicate inventory and supply needs to the Boutique Director and manage the MMS system.
  • Uphold all Standard Operating Procedures and educate the team as needed.
  • Establish relationships with corporate partners for operational support.
  • Assist in event planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School diploma required.
  • 3+ years of related leadership sales experience in a retail luxury environment and/or operational role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and operationally savvy.
  • Ability to coach and lead a team effectively.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Foreign language skills are preferred but not required.
