Framers Needed for Custom New Construction Home

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable framer to assist in the construction of a custom new-build home in Macomb County. This hands-on role involves various framing tasks, ensuring that all work is completed according to city-approved blueprints while maintaining a clean and safe job site.

Responsibilities

• Set steel beams
• Construct first floor and first-floor walls
• Build garage walls
• Construct second floor and second-floor walls
• Set all trusses and complete the roof, porch roof, and shed roofs
• Frame and plywood only for all roofs
• Build overhangs
• TyVek the entire house
• Set all windows
• Install all hangars and hurricane straps
• Complete all drywall backer
• Keep the job site clean and organized
• Maintain safe passage from the street to the house
• Ensure all work is done according to the blueprint approved by the city

Requirements

• Experience with framing, residential construction, and working from blueprints
• Ability to set steel beams and trusses
• Knowledge of roofing and TyVek installation
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to manage job site cleanliness
• Own tools and transportation
