About the position

The Framing Sales Manager at Michaels is responsible for leading and coaching a team of framers to build customer relationships and drive custom framing sales. This role involves ensuring adherence to company policies, managing inventory, and delivering high-quality custom framing solutions to customers. The manager will also participate in talent development and performance management activities while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of framers to build customer relationships and drive custom framing sales.
  • Assist the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs.
  • Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to ensure timely delivery of custom framing solutions.
  • Achieve personal and team KPIs related to sales and production.
  • Manage inventory processes and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Participate in performance management activities and support talent development.
  • Interact positively with customers and team members, promoting the organization's vision and values.
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure standards are met.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
  • Retail management experience is preferred.
  • Experience leading a sales team is preferred.
