About the position

The Human Resources & Accounting Specialist at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Washington, PA, is a hybrid role that combines HR administrative tasks with accounting functions. This position is essential for managing the recruitment process, assisting employees with benefits, and ensuring accurate payroll processing. The specialist will also handle financial reporting and maintain employee records, contributing to a supportive and efficient workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist associates and applicants with various tasks related to HR and accounting.
• Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including interviewing and onboarding.
• Process I-9s in E-Verify and onboard new employees into the HRIS system.
• Schedule and complete property tours for new hires, providing introductions on their first day.
• Assist employees with benefits and open enrollment processes.
• Enter daily tips and gratuity from banquet events into the payroll system.
• Approve and manage payroll on time, ensuring accuracy.
• Count and manage weekly cash deposits and conduct bank audits with the General Manager.
• Retrieve cash from guest laundry and deposit it appropriately.
• Scan, code, file, and research invoices for payment.
• Coordinate and run all employee social events.
• Maintain confidentiality of all employee files and provide necessary documentation for investigations and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of related experience as a Human Resources/Accounting Specialist or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some college courses in Human Resources/Accounting, Employment Law, or related fields are preferred.
• Fluent in English; other languages may be preferred.
