About the position

The Franchise Onboarding Specialist at Sonesta will primarily collaborate with the Onboarding and Transitions teams to facilitate the onboarding process for new hotel owners and franchisees. This role involves executing steps to effectively onboard newly executed hotel deals, manage transitions, and ensure compliance with brand standards. The specialist will assist in the successful transition of hotels from other brands into the Sonesta portfolio, ensuring that all necessary documentation and processes are completed efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the onboarding team with converting existing branded, independent, or new built properties to Sonesta or RLH branded properties.
  • Coordinate introductory calls between owners and the onboarding team for newly announced properties.
  • Follow up on completion of all onboarding paperwork by owners.
  • Provide credentials to Access Point for new owners and property team members.
  • Introduce new properties to the Sonesta Training team and ensure completion of training prior to opening.
  • Enter onboarding tickets into AYS and Asana.
  • Coordinate with the Travel Pass team and ensure collateral is sent to the property prior to opening.
  • Update Dynamics with contract notes, ownership information, and onboarding documents.
  • Track OTA activations once a property is live and troubleshoot issues with the Distribution department.
  • Prepare monthly onboarding billing reviews and weekly reporting notes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in GM-level hotel management or above property experience in a franchised environment.
  • Prior onboarding experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and informational management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and timelines.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Team-oriented and willing to assist others to achieve success.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer systems including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • CRM experience preferred but not required.
