About the position

We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Fraud Analyst with a strong background in big-box retail, wellness, pharma, or related e-commerce industries. The ideal candidate has experience managing and mitigating online fraud, specifically in large-scale retail operations, and will have hands-on experience with Shopify (must have) and chargeback management. This role is crucial in developing fraud strategies and policies to protect our growing e-commerce platform. In this position, you will monitor and assess fraudulent activities across platforms like Shopify, focusing on the unique risks within the wellness and pharma e-commerce industries. You will investigate chargebacks, fraud patterns, and suspicious activities while leveraging your e-commerce fraud expertise. Additionally, you will develop e-commerce fraud prevention strategies and policies, collaborating with customer service, sales, and operations teams to verify transaction details and prevent potential fraud. As a subject matter expert in e-commerce fraud, particularly within the context of large-scale retail operations, you will provide recommendations for system enhancements to improve fraud detection and prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess fraudulent activities across platforms like Shopify.
  • Investigate chargebacks, fraud patterns, and suspicious activities.
  • Develop e-commerce fraud prevention strategies and policies.
  • Collaborate with customer service, sales, and operations teams to verify transaction details and prevent potential fraud.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in e-commerce fraud, providing recommendations for system enhancements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in e-commerce fraud prevention, specifically within large retailers or e-commerce platforms in the wellness, pharma, or related industries.
  • Expertise in Shopify and experience handling chargeback management and fraud mitigation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify fraud patterns and emerging trends in high-volume transaction environments.
  • Experience building and implementing fraud policies and strategies for large-scale e-commerce businesses.
  • Familiarity with payment gateways, chargeback processes, and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
