About the position

The Fraud Analyst position is responsible for detecting and preventing fraudulent activities within a financial institution. This role involves monitoring accounts for suspicious activities, investigating cases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The analyst will collaborate with internal teams to maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy in investigations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
• Monitor accounts for suspicious wire activities and escalate cases as needed.
• Investigate and provide all necessary information for suspicious cases to ensure timely reporting and loss prevention.
• Review and analyze fraud detection data to identify unusual activities requiring further action.
• Take prompt action on suspect customers and accounts.
• Draft and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage case files, ensuring detailed evidence and documentation are provided for accurate reporting.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations, ensuring ethical conduct in all business practices.
• Maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy in investigations and reporting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years of experience in fraud detection, investigations, and reviewing suspicious activity.
• Experience with drafting and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) is preferred.
• Prior experience in fraud monitoring within a financial institution is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Benefits

• Contract position with competitive hourly pay of $24 - $25 per hour.
