About the position

At USAA, we have an important mission: facilitating the financial security of millions of U.S. military members and their families. As a dedicated Instructional Designer II, you will partner with training leaders and business leaders to ensure fraud learning requirements are developed and met. This role involves the maintenance of new to role, upskill, and reinforcement education content, ensuring that all fraud learning content and initiatives comply with fraud policies and standards. You will collaborate with fraud training leads, facilitators, and other business partners to support Fraud Training Program-based initiatives. In this position, you will design and develop interactive facilitator-led and online content that meets the learning needs of the business. You will organize course content to produce curriculum that aligns with business learning needs, develop and manage timelines and milestones, and ensure consistency, quality, and appropriate use of course content guidelines. Additionally, you will participate in the creation of learning objectives, design documents, and learning experiences to meet business requirements. Your role will also involve supporting the development of tools and processes that measure the effectiveness of curriculum solutions and learner performance, ensuring that solutions meet employee skill development requirements. You will continue to develop an understanding of the business, its products, and processes to design and develop learning curriculum that improves the performance of USAA employees. Collaboration with Learning Performance Consultants (LPC) to gather information and provide design recommendations will be essential, as will resolving issues and identifying appropriate issues for escalation. You will partner with contract designers to ensure deliverables align with business requests and ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with fraud training leads, facilitators, and other business partners to support Fraud Training Program-based initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years progressive work experience in instructional design including training industry experience and working knowledge of instructional design tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, project management skills, multi-tasking, and project flexibility.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to plan, prioritize, monitor, and respond to changes quickly.
  • Experience with instructional authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 and/or Adobe Suite.
