About the position

The Fraud Program Management Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that City National Bank maintains a high standard of regulatory excellence and fraud governance, particularly focusing on internal fraud. This position involves the development and execution of comprehensive fraud risk assessments, aimed at proactively identifying risk gaps and opportunities to enhance the fraud prevention environment. The analyst will be involved in various initiatives that require agility and the ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively, driving positive outcomes and impactful changes across the bank. In this role, the analyst will execute Fraud Risk Assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary mitigation steps. They will assist in evaluating current and emerging threats, as well as the control environment, to pinpoint potential opportunities for enhancements. The analyst will support the development and maintenance of fraud procedures and collaborate with various Lines of Business to establish action plans and a roadmap for enhancements. A thorough understanding of the end-to-end fraud control environment throughout the bank is essential. The analyst will evaluate current fraud controls (RCSA) and ensure alignment across the enterprise. They will communicate fraud prevention control requirements to stakeholders, including leadership, to ensure comprehensive alignment. Additionally, the analyst will partner with the Enterprise Fraud team to maintain appropriate governance across the team's pillars and support the implementation of the Target Operating Model for internal fraud. They will also be involved in new product assessments and business enablement, ensuring that products or significant changes can be securely rolled out from a fraud risk perspective. The role may also involve gathering and assessing industry best practices for internal fraud prevention and detection, assisting with ad-hoc initiatives, and supporting audits and exams as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Fraud Risk Assessment(s) to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and steps are taken to mitigate the risk.
  • Assist in evaluating current and upcoming threats and control environment to identify potential opportunities and determine enhancements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of fraud procedures.
  • Collaborate with Lines of Business to establish action plans and roadmap for any enhancements.
  • Understand the end-to-end fraud control environment throughout the bank.
  • Evaluate current fraud controls (RCSA) and drive alignment across the enterprise.
  • Communicate the fraud prevention control requirements to stakeholders including leadership across the enterprise to ensure alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within Fraud prevention and detection, fraud governance and/or risk management.
  • Possess a high degree of initiative and passion to improve the fraud control environment and client experience.
  • Ability to prioritize, remain level-headed and agile in a continually evolving and challenging environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal partners, senior leadership, external vendors and industry regulators.
  • Ability to aid in advocating and driving an initiative to completion through professionalism, confidence and cooperation.
  • Effective working in both a team setting and as an independent contributor.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to think strategically, frame for success, and execute tactically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and solutions that create maximum impact.
