About the position

The Fraud Risk Data Analyst will join the Fraud Risk Strategy team, focusing on analyzing large datasets to identify fraud patterns and contribute to initiatives aimed at mitigating fraud risk. This role involves leveraging tools like Python, SQL, and Tableau to develop insights and strategies for fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data sets to detect fraud risk patterns and trends.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and AWS QuickSight to track fraud risk metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data and Product, to ensure data quality and alignment with business goals.
  • Create and monitor fraud mitigation strategies, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying new opportunities to enhance fraud prevention efforts without increasing risk exposure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and AWS QuickSight.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large data sets.
  • Clear communication skills to effectively present complex findings to various business partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in ecommerce, online payments, banking, or risk management.
  • Proficiency in Python for advanced data analysis.
  • Familiarity with fraud risk strategies and performance tracking.
