About the position

The Cargo Risk team at Total Quality Logistics (TQL) plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company against fraud and theft. As a Fraud & Theft Analyst, you will be tasked with evaluating high-risk scenarios and implementing preventative measures to protect TQL's interests. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to make informed decisions that align with the company's risk management strategies. You will support the sales floor by providing issue resolution, managing risk assessments, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the integrity of TQL's operations and ensuring a secure environment for all stakeholders involved. In this role, you will conduct thorough reviews and complete fraud preventative audits, ensuring that all processes are adhered to and that any potential risks are identified and mitigated. You will manage the loading status of carriers through comprehensive risk assessments, which will involve assessing and problem-solving situations that arise from sales, carriers, or external parties. Documenting your findings in TQL's proprietary tracking system will be essential for maintaining accurate records and facilitating effective communication. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating both internally and externally regarding ongoing investigations, which will require strong interpersonal skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly. Your role will also involve reviewing high-risk customers and commodities, supporting all functions of Operations Sales, and ensuring compliance with external regulations related to fraud and theft prevention. Responsibilities

  • Review and complete TQL fraud preventative audits
  • Manage carrier's loading status through risk assessments
  • Assess and problem solve situations brought by the Sales, carriers, or external parties
  • Document review findings in TQL's proprietary tracking system
  • Communicate internally and externally on investigations
  • Assist in reviewing high risk customers and commodities
  • Support all functions of Op Sales including external compliance, fraud and theft prevention, and cargo risk management

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related professional experience
  • At least 1 year of auditing experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable
