About the position

The Freelance Associate, Talent Operations at IPG Mediabrands plays a crucial role in the human resources lifecycle, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of HR tasks. This entry-level position focuses on onboarding new employees, processing employment lifecycle paperwork, and maintaining HRIS data integrity. The role also involves developing relationships with internal clients and providing outstanding HR service to agency leadership and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure new employee onboarding process is met properly, including collecting new hire paperwork, completing I-9 Verification, entering payroll paperwork, and informing new hires of the process to obtain building ID.
  • Draft employee change letters for actions such as transfers, new freelance assignments, merit/bonus, and relocations.
  • Effectively and accurately process employment lifecycle paperwork.
  • Ensure HRIS employee data is clean and updated on a regular basis.
  • Conduct basic employee reporting and analysis, providing insights and recommendations where applicable.
  • Develop relationships with internal clients and partners, notably with IT, Office Services, and Finance.
  • Master the HR platforms and technology used within IPG Mediabrands, including PeopleSoft, Vantage/Fiori, OMCC, Microsoft Teams.
  • Provide outstanding HR service to agency leadership and employee population.
  • Keep abreast of changing employment laws that impact employee practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Internship or work experience in a Human Resources department is preferred.
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail, while maintaining a big picture perspective.
  • Strong technical aptitude and comfortable learning and working in various online systems; HRIS experience is a huge plus.
  • Extremely customer-service focused with proactive communication and a sense of urgency.
  • A collaborative, team-player mindset is essential for success.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Confident interacting with internal employees across all departments and levels.
  • Highly resourceful and efficient - looks for ways to work smarter, better, faster.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
