About the position
Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance opportunity is designed for individuals who possess a strong command of the English language and are interested in contributing their writing skills to enhance AI models. The role is remote, offering flexible hours that allow you to work at your convenience. As a writer, you will engage in various tasks that include reading English text to evaluate and rank responses generated by AI models, as well as writing and rewriting prompts and responses. This may involve conducting research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content produced by the AI. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing the factuality of the text and providing constructive feedback on its strengths and weaknesses. The ideal candidate will have a background in professional writing or editing, and should be currently enrolled in or have completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline from an accredited institution. A strong writing style, exceptional spelling and grammar, and logical reasoning skills are essential for success in this role. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be required to clearly articulate the merits and drawbacks of various pieces of text. This position offers competitive pay rates, averaging USD $15 per hour for core project work, with potential for higher rates based on expertise and project requirements. Additionally, certain projects may offer incentive payments, and payment terms will vary depending on the nature of the work.

Requirements
