About the position

The Freelance Contract Minute Taker will be responsible for attending business board meetings in person to document meeting minutes and notes according to established templates and guidelines. This role requires a qualified individual who can accurately record discussions, attendance, and official votes during meetings, ensuring a complete and precise record is maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Attend business board meetings in person to document meeting minutes/notes.
  • Record meeting date, time, and location, as well as attendance.
  • Summarize discussions for all agenda items and record official votes and motions passed.
  • Utilize templates and methodical guidelines for minute-taking.
  • Ensure fluency in English with excellent spelling and grammar in the documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in minute-taking or note-taking for board meetings, seminars, or conferences (1 year required).
  • Fluency in English with excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
  • Typing speed of over 80 words per minute.
  • Ability to carry a personal laptop to write meeting minutes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with minute-taking for healthcare, government, or non-profit organizations.
