Digital Designer Marshall Associates Inc. (“MAI”) is a sales and marketing firm with a specialty in merchandising consumer goods in a variety of categories such as Lawn & Garden, Toys, Sporting Goods, and Furniture. The MAI sales & Marketing force, dispersed across the United States and parts of Canada, acts on behalf of specific manufacturers to serve as their direct sales & marketing force to national, regional, and local retailers. MAI is headquartered on Goose Island in Chicago, specializing in E-Commerce, Marketing, Tech Development, and International Representation. We have an immediate open position within our Creative team for a Digital Designer. This individual will need to be highly self-motivated, eager to learn, and have fast-paced in-house design studio experience. The Digital Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing designs from initial concept to final execution with minimal direction. The role requires a strong online portfolio that highlights a wide range of design skills, as well as 3-5 years of professional digital graphic design experience. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field and will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, time management, and organizational skills. The ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage deadlines is essential, as is the capacity to work collaboratively with stakeholders to define and deliver effective creative solutions. In addition to strong conceptual thinking and attention to detail, the candidate should be able to accept constructive criticism and make revisions accordingly. Technical skills required include expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in professional graphic design for digital platforms, particularly eCommerce, is preferred, along with professional photography and videography experience. The Digital Designer will also stay up-to-date with current design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field, ensuring visual brand consistency across projects.
