About the position

Onward Search is seeking a Freelance Digital Marketing Manager to join the marketing team of the largest North American beauty retailer. This role is crucial in developing and implementing impactful omnichannel marketing programs that drive growth, enhance consumer engagement, and deliver strong ROI. The position is hybrid, based in Bolingbrook, Illinois, and is expected to last for three months, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Strategic Initiatives Marketing and will be responsible for assisting the Marketing and Merchandising Team in executing promotional campaigns and events. The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in executing promotional campaign plans across both digital and physical marketing channels. This includes analyzing performance metrics and learnings to inform future strategies and execution. Collaboration is essential in this role, as the manager will work closely with various internal teams, including Customer Growth Marketing, Analytics, Media, Creative, and Merchandising, to ensure that marketing plans are executed clearly and cohesively. Candidates must have experience in the retail, beauty, or cosmetic industry, as this knowledge is vital for success in this position. The role requires a blend of creativity and analytical skills to effectively manage integrated marketing campaigns and translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the beauty brand.
  • Assist the Marketing and Merchandising Team with promotional campaigns and events execution.
  • Execute promotional campaign plans across digital and physical marketing channels.
  • Analyze performance metrics and learnings to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) marketing preferred.
  • Experience managing 360 integrated campaigns.
  • Ability to translate data and insights into marketing strategies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
