About the position

The Freelance Digital Video Specialist at Fox Sports will create engaging digital content for sports and podcasts, focusing on optimizing video segments for platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts. This role involves producing full game highlights and managing the daily operations of the YouTube and TikTok channels, requiring a strong knowledge of sports and video editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create fun digital content for Sports and Podcasts
• Condense podcast segments into vertical videos optimized for TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• Run or contribute to day-to-day operations of YouTube and TikTok channels
• Create full game sports highlights that identify key storylines of the game
• Edit full-length podcasts and VODs
• Build and maintain relationships across various groups including social media, production, and other show teams

Requirements

• 1+ year of Digital/TV editorial experience
• Experience editing full-length podcasts and VOD/headline creation
• Experience in day-to-day operations of running a YouTube Channel
• Familiar with digital platforms, industry terminology, and understand deadlines
• Advanced Adobe Premiere knowledge, video editing, and storytelling
• Advanced knowledge of digital platforms, YouTube, and TikTok
• Knowledge on editing compelling video content using Adobe Premiere
• Intermediate Photoshop knowledge, YouTube thumbnail creation
• Writing skills and SEO experience
• Understanding how to best optimize video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Foxsports.com
• Ability to communicate effectively with social media managers, producers, and other project stakeholders
• Strong vertical video editing skills for TikTok/Reels/YT shorts including caption creation, added visual elements, and storytelling
• Strong written and grammatical skills required for writing video metadata
• Ability to manage and organize multiple concurrent projects
• Ability to work weekends/nights as needed
