About the position

R. Jack Balthazar is seeking a Freelance Floral Designer to join their Event Design team. This role involves creating floral arrangements and décor for large-scale events, requiring a blend of creativity, organization, and teamwork. The position is primarily studio-based but will also involve travel and off-site work, making it essential for candidates to have a clean driving record and relevant experience in the floral design industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and design floral arrangements using fresh floral recipes.
• Follow design decks and load lists to pull/install décor items for events.
• Participate in the receiving and processing of floral deliveries.
• Assist with studio upkeep, including cleaning and waste management.
• Perform on-site floral design and large installations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in floral design, preferably in the special events industry.
• Expert knowledge of fresh flowers and plants, with proficiency in floral design.
• Ability to maintain high standards under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
