About the position

Visit.org is seeking a passionate and ambitious Freelance In-Person Event Host to facilitate interactive social impact experiences for corporate partners in Boston, MA. This role is ideal for individuals with stage experience who are comfortable in front of a crowd and eager to contribute their skills to positively impact local communities. The Event Host will engage participants in fun, team-building activities that support various causes, all while working in a dynamic start-up tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the host for engaging social impact activities and events.
• Welcome, engage, and inspire participants during in-person events.
• Support nonprofits in facilitating the events.

Requirements

• Fluent in English.
• Based in Boston, MA.
• Availability to work on a contract per event basis.
• Comfortable interacting with groups and individuals to keep events flowing.
• Energetic, charismatic personality with a sense of fun.
• Background in acting, comedy, improv, or similar professions is a bonus.
• Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• Quick thinker with problem-solving skills during events.
• Extremely comfortable with public speaking.
• Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
