About the position

The Photographer's Assistant position at Dani Elle Photography is a temporary, freelance role designed for high school students interested in photography and creative work. This part-time position involves assisting during photoshoots by managing equipment, props, and client care, providing a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the photography industry.

Responsibilities

• Help carry and transport equipment to and from photoshoot locations.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down props, backdrops, lighting, and other gear.
• Adjust lighting and hold reflectors during the session as needed.
• Ensure clients are comfortable and assist with any needs during the shoot (e.g., adjusting outfits, fixing hair, or providing water).
• Keep the photoshoot area organized and running smoothly.
• Assist with time management and session flow to stay on schedule.

Requirements

• High school student (minimum age 16 preferred).
• Availability for occasional weekend and evening work.
• Interest in photography or creative industries is a plus.
• Responsible, punctual, and eager to help.
• Friendly, customer-service-oriented personality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
• Comfortable carrying equipment (up to 25 lbs) and assisting with physical tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with Final Cut Pro.
